To The MOQ
>From Rog
I offer a different angle on the issue of "why is Dynamic more moral than
static?"
The explanation is that DQ is the cutting edge of reality itself. Sq is
patterns derived from reality. DQ is pure experience (in its broadest terms)
and sq is the patterns of experience.
So why is DQ better? Because quality is reality. Reality is dynamic and
therefore that which is most dynamic is most real and better.
In a metaphysics where reality is dynamic, and reality is quality, and
quality is better, then saying something is better if it is more dynamic is a
tautology. We are basicly saying "that which is most real is most real." or
"that which is most dynamic is most real." Or "that which is most real is
most dynamic"...or "that which is most real is better"...or.... (you get the
point).
In summary, the MOQ is logically consistent.
>From a different angle, to value that which is most dynamic leads to the
realization that the static and the dynamic are both necessary. A dynamic
choice does include the choice to be be dynamic in a patterned way. In
addition, dynamic experience can explore new realms of pure experience off of
stable patterned platforms (so to speak). For example, life is dynamic
quality arising out of stable inorganic patterns.
To oversimplify and anthropomorphise, DQ forms patterns, and off these
patterns, DQ can use the stability to "explore" the new. Some of these
explorations themselves lead new patterns, from which DQ can explore new
experience.
Valueing DQ is to value DQ and sq. You will get more of both. And again, if
quality is reality, then more is better by definition.
Let me know what you think

PS -- Valueing the static leads to the same conclusion as long as you value
MORE patterns of value, and don't resist growth in defense of old patterns of
value. More patterns involves more reality, and reality is quality and
quality is better and......
