Dear Don,
I have always defined the polygons by looking at the cranium from one
direction, preferably from the side, as that was somehow easier for
me. Then, from that perspective, I made all polyongs go in one
direction.
In the case you describe, I think it should be 1 2 4 and 1 5 2.
I have added a test file for you below, with two individuals from my
nasal cavity study. Including only a subset of the landmarks:
1 Lt ant ethmoid foramen
2 Lt pos ethmoid foramen
3 Rt ant ethmoid foramen
4 Rt pos ethmoid foramen
5 rhinion
6 Lt naso max suture
7 Rt naso max suture
I have added both a wireframe and a set of polygons. I find it a bit
difficult to describe it, but maybe by looking at this example file
you can see how I made the polygons. Just copy it into an editor file
and open it with Morphologika. The "Flat surface" option will show you
more clearly where the boundaries of the polygons are.
Let me know if you get it to work. If not, then you can maybe send me
an example file of what you are trying.
All best,
Marlijn
