Does anyone have any ideas for motivating or interesting lessons
that are geared toward middle schoolers--

Kelly Gallagher (Stenhouse Publishers) has a good book about motivating
adolescent readers. I don't recall the exact title, but it is something
like Motivating Adolescent Readers. :-)
