I read The Sixth Grade Nickname Game by Gordon Korman to my fifth graders.
They loved it and it has so many characters it would be easy to
compare/contrast.

Subject: [MOSAIC] Developing character with Venn Diagrams

>
> Hello All,
> I am looking for a good read aloud for sixth graders so they can compare
and contrast 2 characters using a venn diagram (2 or 3 circles) and then
develop one character using the vocabulary from the text.
> I eventually want to do this with The Cay by Theodore Taylor, but I want
to model how it is done with a read aloud first. If anyone has any
suggestions, I would appreciate any and all thoughts.
