Move to second grade, you won't regret it. It will put a new spring in your
step as sorry to everyone else, there is 'nothing harder than teaching first
grade'. Ask me why I have been at fourth for ten years? You will take so much
of what you do and how you do it wth you but the kids are older, you'll be
doing things differently....the change will invigorate you.

I had taught first for 9 years when I moved to second and I loved it. Then
I moved to third where I've been for 19 years. I think you would enjoy the
change--can you move up with your kids?

I've taught first grade for 30 years and have an opportunity to move to 2nd.
I'm really having a difficult time deciding. Do any of you have any
suggestions? For those who have taught both, which do you prefer?
Thanks!Patti
