remain positive... our school is a satellite school to Columbia and the
first year we trained.....it took a long time to hear if we were accepted. I
think this is a wonderful way to deliver professional development. We have had
a
relationship with Columbia for nearly seven years and each year we still learn
and work on something new.... it has elevated the knowledge base of our
entire faculty.... they also meet you where you are and go from there.

Our school recieved a grant for the Lucy Calkins Summer Institute
(writing). The only problem is we have not been accepted yet. When we called
they
said that there were so many applicants this year that it is taking them
awhile
to get through them all. Does anyone know of anything that would be
comparable just in case we don't get in? We are still trying to remain
positive but
want to have a backup plan just in case. Thanks so much!
