A professor in my class just mentioned Isabelle Beck's Robust Vocab. What is your opinion and experience with it? Jen

Our district looked at several reading series last year before going with MacMillan, which thankfully I don't have to use. All of the major companies used some popular "buzz term" to sell. Scott Foresman claimed their writing was a "Writing Workshop". As a devoted follower of writing workshop I wanted to puke. It is theoretically as far from writing workshop as you can get. Nancie Atwell would have a stroke if she saw it. Another company used QtA and QAR, which in my opinion were antithetical also. Another used Isabel Beck's Robust Vocabulary as their major selling point.
