Is on market any video doorbell or access control system (on the box) who
allow Motion get video from it?
I want setup pedestrian gate control (on fence perimeter concrete pole)
and get video from built-in cam on Motion for additional usage.
Credibly this cam need to be:
- IP, because of distance (to house/"datacenter")
- non wireless, primary for security (to prevent wifi blockers).
- and of course open for other data collector (Motion), not only for system
included indoor monitors.
Do You know any working product or have information about products who may
fit my case?

Hi Modris,
I've been looking for this too. I've had a look at Ring
<https://ring.com/plus>, though I'm not sure how it can be customised /
integrated. And with Ring+ it can integrate with smart locks for access
control
Maybe another Motion user has experience with it?
Another option is www.skybell.com but reviews don't appear as good as
ring.com
One to potentially consider is Doorbird

I'm running motion on a pc-engines APU1D4, a dual core embedded box.
I'm seeing 95% to100% cpu utilization with rtsp no matter what other
options I select. Image size, frame rate, streaming, on-the-fly video,
nothing makes a difference, motion pegs at 95% to 100% cpu.
If I go to single frame with http, this drops down the usage to about
30% but it's not reliable enough with my Hikvision camera, so I'm stuck
with rtsp.
Can anyone shed some light on this?

RTSP can't change the sizes or speed coming down the pipe. The options
would be in your camera to reduce the resolution or framerate of the
generated RTSP stream. That's probably your best bet.
