Hi,

Would it not be possible to have a seperate mailing list specifically for
beginners?

I've just completed a second year degree module using oz and my final year
project will also be using oz.
However, from an oz 'experts' point of view I am still very much a beginner. I
keep causing myself problems with global/local variables, QTk interfacing and
a number of other things. When I have these problems I tend to scan the
documentation then post a question on the users mailing list.
If we're honest, most would agree that the majority of the oz documentation is
not suitable for beginners and wading through hundreds of messages about
constraint programming, compiler interaction, kernel language semantics, etc
on the users mailing list just to find help on using a QTk label widget can
take hours.

So, (whoever makes these decisions), wouldn't another small beginners mailing
list be possible? I considered setting my own web forum up but this then
takes the info away from a central repository.
I'm sure this would help increase the user base of this language.

Regards
Mark Richardson
