Sorry, when I said "in the chrome", I meant something that would actually be visible to users; anyone who knows enough to mouse over the icon and care about a tooltip also knows enough to open the trust dialog and ponder the contents.
If you want to leverage CA competition, you have to offer them actual branding space: at least a name and possibly a logo which is visible next to the lock icon.
