This is an idea I've been having over the last few days, but I'm not sure it's a good one.
I've been thinking that a lot of our raw info for docs may be in Bugzilla. So the idea came to me to have an e-mail address field in Bugzilla specifically for a documentation contact for that bug. Kinda like how there's a default QA and a default bug owner for a particular component, there might want to be a default documenter. One of the reasons I fear making this suggestion is someone deciding to make the default doc'r for any component lacking a default doc'r be me... I know bugspam can be somewhat of a pain for those who receive it, and I know it has a deleterious effect on the system that sends it (which is why Dawn Endico has locked a few high-cc bugs, if I remember right). But it is my duty to raise ideas that may help documentation, even if I think they are a bit insane. Alex
