Wasn't there a blip of a thought on using the javadoc comments, which the developers _should_ be updating or writing as needed, for this? I
There was. But unfortunately, there is no obvious way to map our interfaces to actual DOM objects. Javadoc doesn't work for properties/methods implemented in XBL. Javadoc only covers methods/properties, it doesn't deal with DOM attributes. Finally, we need to keep historical information about when various properties were added. I wouldn't mind extracting what I can from javadoc, but it's far from sufficient.
