the file name:

is still too long. The maximum length appears to be 99, so we are
still 1 character over the limit I think.
I think we should change all the truncates to trunc in the fft and
tests/fft directory.

I have changed 'truncate' in all all files AND symbols associated with the
FFT to 'trunc'.
I have changed the Makefile.am files where appropriate but there may be
other *nix build files where file names need to change.
The Visual Studio build works fine but the *nix build now needs careful
testing as there are a lot of changes to a lot of files.
