Robert and Tim:

I don't quite understand the question. Is the
only definition of laborer of one who works in
the dirt or in a factory?

I worked as a secretary, bookkeeper, advocate for
battered women and casemanager for women in
transitional housing. None of these positions
meant I had to work in the dirt or in a factory,
but none of these positions paid more than
$23,000 a year.

On that salary I raised seven children, and I did
volunteer work for battered women and for the
State PTSA, and neighborhood volunteer work in my
spare time.

I think one has to be very clear how they define
laborer, because it seems to set up a class sytem
that I don't think you want or intend to
perpetuate.
