Let me try and answer.
1) You can quickly test this out yourself. But there are a couple of things. Firstly, I believe that the message goes to the end, because i guess, internally MQ might be doing a get and then a put. So, it makes sense that this messages goes back at the end.
Sorry, Kumar -- a message read with syncpoint turned on is not physically deleted from the queue until a commit is issued. So if it's backed out, it just stays where it is.
