Wesley, check for some upper/lower case mismatch with the Unix userid. I've
seen that cause glitches when userids are passed to a Unix box. This may not
be relevant, but it's an easy thing to look for.

This really should work without coding exits. My Windows ID is
"nthomdom01\ford". When I connect to Unix as a client, authentication is
done using my Unix "ford" ID just fine. I can secure queues based on ford's
group membership. We have spaces in the SVRCONN's MCAUSER field, an we
don't use exits, just vanilla MQ.

This really should work. I'd think that using exits should be a last
resort.

Wesley,

Are you trying to send a message to the UNIX system from the Windows
environment without defining the Windows user id to the UNIX system and not
hard coding the UNIX user id in the channel MCAUSER parameter?

Thanks,

John

Need to handle the client channel security between a Win2000 client and
Unix MQ Server. I can not seem to get setmqaut to understand how
to connect a Windows authenticated user ID on a unix group/userid system.
They are not the same even though the ID might be the same.
For example: ntdomain\wesley vs just wesley in unix

Hi Wesley,
What kind of exits are you looking at. I mean what sort of functionality?
