Please let us know what you find. What if the sending side has no DLQ, the XMITQ can take a message 10 MEG long, but the channel can only accept 4 MEG. Usually the sending MCA would dump the message to the sender's DLQ. I wonder what would happen if there was no DLQ on the sender side? Would the channel stay running? Would other messages be able to get by, or would the big message cork the flow? Not sure. Just typing out loud... Maybe you can eliminate this possibility by checking the sizes of the message, the XMITQ and the channel, as well as verifying that you do have a DLQ on the sender side. -----Original Message----- From: Warren Betty [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, June 03, 2004 2:17 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Messages stuck in the XMIT queue However the channel is up and running and this problem occurs on the z/os platform. I already check the MSTR and CHIN and there is no error messages. Stop/start the channel will not fix the problem since it causes MSTR to crash with 6C6. I already open a PMR with IBM with SEV 2. We are at WMQ 5.3.1 and z/os 1.3 David "Potkay, Peter M (PLC, IT)" To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] <[EMAIL PROTECTED] cc: RTFORD.COM> Subject: Re: Messages stuck in the XMIT queue Sent by: MQSeries List <[EMAIL PROTECTED] AC.AT> 06/03/2004 10:38 AM Please respond to MQSeries List Channel cannot get itself running for whatever reason. What do the AMQERROR logs say on both ends for this channel? -----Original Message----- From: Warren Betty [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, June 03, 2004 1:05 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Messages stuck in the XMIT queue Hi, All, What are the possible reasons that might cause messages stuck in the transmission queue? I check the MQXQH and it looks OK. Thanks for your help.
