Thanks Paul, I was paraphasing the releasing of old logs not needed for checkpointing or media recovery.
My follow-up question. If checkpointing is done every 30 minutes or 10000 transactions by default, is there an equivalent process for media recovery entries?? i.e if you make a mq object definition change will the linear log with that change be needed for media recovery UNTIL you run a rcdmqimg or is there a time or transaction default?
