I went through this recently under both Linux and MacOS-X
and compiled a set of notes so the others in my group could
reproduce my efforts.
The notes are currently quite rough, but I think a bit more
readable than the available manual, since they're consolidated
in one place and describe all the parts you need.
I would be happy to post them, or clean them up into HTML
since that's part of my mandate over here anyway.
Is there a better place to put 'em than just posting them to
the list where they will obsolesce at a rate directly proportional
to the number of outdated copies in people mailboxes?
