The other thing you may want to check if the patches which are in downloading
state if they are downloaded or not. It could happen that the machines in
question would be looking for some other SKU for which you man have not
deployed the patches. BTW, is it ConfigMgr 2007/2012?

Thanks,
JitenRK

Might be a busted wua agent. You could try stop wua service, delete
softwaredistribution folder and start wua back up.

What about Windowsupdate.log?
Have you rebooted the machines?
Have you tried re-installing the client?
Have you forced a scan?
Are the clients healthy?

Datatransferservice log is showing successfully completed download and even the
updates are downloaded as well in cache folder but in report “States 1 -
Enforcement states for a deployment” are not moving from downloading to
download or any other state. Same systems are not installing the updates also
in schedule.

Using same DP updates are getting installed on other systems.

Are they on a different DP? Could be IIS settings on the DP hanging up BITS.

These systems are newly installed into SCCM. I have checked locationservice,
WUAhandler, scanagent, Updatedeployment logs but not found any root cause for
this.

Other systems in similar environment are getting patched but few are stuck in
downloading.

No communication issue with site server; the only thing I observed it is not
showing updates download complete status in updatedeployment log.

Surajit

Check out the client logs perhaps? What have you tried so far? Were updates
ever working?

As per “States 1 - Enforcement states for a deployment” report, systems are
showing downloading and not moving to any other state.

Any help to find out root cause for this?

Surajit
