Hi everyone, For some time now I've been thinking about making the engine we used for PA3 and The Lost World public domain. reason is simple: Stefan Boer did one hell of a job programming it, and programmed it in such a way that it is practically a game builder. Of course, if people are interested, I shall also write an extensive help text (or a course) explaining how everything works and how to build an RPG. If you like this idea and are interested, let me know, because I'd only do it if enough peopel will use it. I have little free time to spend on MSX and what free time I have I spent mainly on Realms of Adventure. if the engine is released it will be the adapted engine I used for The Lost World rather than the original engine I used for PA3. It features: - MAIN engine (supports Moonsound Music) - FIGHT engine - Map editors and Enemy editor - Fkernel for complete disk operating system Of course, an RPG created with this engine has some feautures that cannot be (easily) changed, the most important are: - NO scroll, but rooms - 16x16 objects (= persons and monsters) - max. of 3 free objects per screen If anyone wants more specific info, let me know.
