We do have a 'mob' branch. Please use it.
The 'mob' branch does not fast-forward to devel. The commits on

look interesting, so I would rather not destroy them.
I forced an update of the mob branch to devel. The commits on mob
have
been already cherry-picked to devel.
I see that mob has been reset in msysgit, but the patch in question
applies to 4msysgit (mob tip is "Windows/msysgit specific
modifications for git.el", which is not on devel in any form).
You are right.
I created a new branch cca/git.el to preserver what has bin on the mob
branch, although I think we decided not to include emacs support, see
http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.version-control.msysgit/2149
The mob branch now points to devel.
