Hi, It's the GemPC PC Card, not the 400. In case it helps, I've installed pcmciautils, and a tail -f /var/logs/messages shows that the card reader has been inserted and registered. pccardctl also shows that the reader is detected correctly, but pcscd doesn't show any activity.
