No, this is still the only way to properly enter translated and 
transliterated tracklists in MusicBrainz.  We would like to have a 
better integrated solution for this, but as far as I know there is 
currently no-one working in this area.

I have some vague ideas of how this should work, but I also haven't had 
time to turn those ideas into a complete proposal with the necessary 
database and user interface changes.

(I know very little about Chinese, so will leave the other two 
questions for others to answer)
