Hi! sorry to resume this old thread but I don't seem to find anything newer on this topic. I am trying to use the latest version of MPD (0.16.8) on OsX Lion with an external USB dac that is integrated my power amp. Now, I am not very familiar with patches and recompiling on Mac so I'd like to know if, in the meantime, the situation has evolved for MPD in MacOsX and where can I find documentation on how to configure MPD to output to the USB DAC. If the patch is still needed, is it working on MPD 0.16.8? Where do I find the DAC "audio device name" to configure the patched MPD?
