Yes, the Android NDK r8d ships with gcc 4.7 and clang 3.1. Took a while until they updated from gcc 4.4. I work on an Android project that uses C++11 heavily. Building MPD requires gcc 4.6 or later (or a similar C++11 compiler) in any case. I have no plans to lower this requirement, because 4.5 lacks many C++11 features.
