Comment(by entropy):

 I quote from that link : "If you want to delete a message from all
 folders, move it to the [Gmail]/Trash folder." That's what I was trying to
 do in mutt. What I don't understand is this: why not use a "M" flag and
 ask to confirm moving the message ("Move the message to Trash? yes/no")
 and maybe a boolean variable like move_to_folder to force moving the
 message (set move_to_folder=yes). The same would go with copying the
 message: why not use a "C" flag and ask to confirm copying the message
 ("Copy the message to Trash? yes/no") and a boolean variable
 copy_to_folder to force copying (and leaving a copy of the message in the
 initial folder).

 These are my suggestions, whether you care to take them into account for a
 next release or just leave it as it is, unclear and confusing (why "copy"
 is, in fact, "move", why "copy" and "move" do NOT have any flags on
 messages?).

 I love mutt, but I would love it more if it could include these options. I
 don't think it's an IMAP issue. If the developers are in a good mood, I'm
 sure anything is possible. Thank you.
