Thanks for the line, but I don't think I will use if it slows down things. I only kept wondering why mutt didn't display 's' in the index for an e-mail which I got from a friend. He uses "The Bat!" under Windows and PGP 6.5.8. I thought he had done something wrong when signing his e-mail because that 's' wasn't displayed. Now, I know what's going on. Regards, Markus
