Honestly, I was a little disappointed in the O'Reilly offering. It was too basic to be used as a desktop reference manual and it paled in comparison to the Husted book. Sue Spielman offered more gems in her 137 pages (including index) than in the 462 pages of the O'Reilly. It is neither quick start material nor reference source.

And Chuck Cavaness' O'Reilley book "Programming Jakarta Struts"
