I do have the backend reconfigured with its "real" IP. I'd missed that
one at first and caught it in my troubleshooting before posting to the
list.

Anyway, slight progress today. After all my messing around (thanks for
all the help) I was able to at least get Watch Recordings to return
the list of shows on the Myth box which means connection is happening
at a crude level (this started working after I stopped and started
mythbackend).

Now when I pick a show from the list, it reboots the MVP. My shows are
all in mpeg2 (my backend has a PVR500 and a PVR350 and I do not
transcode anything).

I have not had a chance to grab a verbose output yet as I need to
config and nfs mount I can connect to. Until I do this, anyone have
any quick ideas.
