Hi all, I just started playing around with mvpmc again after a several month hiatus while I looked at GBPVR. Turned out to be a wasted effort. It was very unstable and overkill for my purposes.
Anyway, thanks to Robin for the updates to the VLC code for skipping/ff/rewind. That has been a real help. With this in mind, I have a few problems/questions: * I'm in Canada (so NTSC) and I have VLC set to run at 720x480. However, on movies that need to be scaled for letterbox, the movie is positioned at the bottom of the screen when VLC Video Transcoding is set to DVD. When I set it to manual and run vlc, it centres it on the screen. Can this be fixed? * What is the time in the upper-left side of the OSD when skipping? The number changes on me but seems arbitrary. I assume it's supposed to be the current movie time; however, it is not correct. I assume this is a known problem? * I have some super-wide screen movies that I would like to watch on my 4:3 TV. One of the videos I have is 720x288 (what kind of resolution is that?). I fiddled with VLC settings but it didn't seem to make much of a difference. It's letter-boxed almost correctly but about 1/8th off each side of the picture. What can I do about this? I haven't quite got my rev H3 booting correctly just yet... I'm using the Hauppage windows service to do the job. That's next on the list. Apologies in advance if these issues have been dealt with. I've read so many mailing lists in the last day or so trying to get this stuff sorted out that I don't remember what I've read and what I haven't! Thanks.
