Hello people,

I'm a bit confused. I've setup a stream with VLC on a Suse Linux box.
vlc.cfg file:
 new foo broadcast enabled
 setup foo input /var/store/movie.avi
 setup foo output
#transcode{vcodec=mp2v,vb=2048,scale=1,acodec=mpga,ab=192,channels=2}:duplicate{dst=std{access=http,mux=ts,dst=<vlc_ip>:5212}}
 setup foo option sout-http-mime=video/mpeg
 control foo play

I use the following command to start VLC:
/usr/bin/vlc --vlm-conf ./.vlc/vlc.cfg -v -I telnet

I boot 2 different MVP's, one with mvpmc 0.31 and one with the dailybuild
(up to 4dec)
In the default.m3u I add
#EXTINF:-1,EWI_content
http://<vlc_ip>:5212

When I try to start this streaming media, the following happens:
mvpmc 0.31 (2.4.31 kernel): MVP restarts
mvpmc daily (kernel I don't know, It seems that you guys stopped the builds
with 2.4.31??):
Screen blanks and nothing happens. I can however turn the MVP off and on
again.

The crazy thing is that, when I use the daily build with the VLC
enhancements, the streaming content is displayed if I choose
other content, which requires transcoding by VLC, from a share which I
mounted. (The content which I choose can't be played
because the VLC server is already streaming the media I choose in the config
file. The streaming media is showed by the MVP)
So I guess the content is correctly transcoded.

Questions:
Why doesn't the mvpmc show the content when I link directly to it with a
url?
Did you stop using 2.4.31?

Thanx for the help,

Kind regards,

Tim
