This is what happens when mvpmc goes to try and play mythtv recordings from the directory you've told it they're located in with the "-r" parameter and finds they don't exist. It really ought to give an error, rather than crash out/reboot. Aaanyway, this is probably because the mount of the /data directory is failing. Firstly there are 2 different ways of playing files off a MythTV backend, one is by mounting the recordings over NFS and playing the files directly. The other is to play the files using MythTV's own internal protocol. There are various advantages/disadvantages of the 2 methods, but the easiest to get working is the Myth protocol one. To do that you simply need to remove the "-r /data" from your command line. I have deleted the "-r /data" and just like that I can see my recordings. Is getting livetv to work something simple as well? If this is one option to have the -r removed, am I missing some sort of advantage? What is the intension of creating these directories in the mvp? Obviously it doesn't have enough space to store them. I am also still looking for some help on the time setting for mountain standard time (Alberta, Canada). Did I get it right? The boot screen still shows EST.
