MythTV does send messages to all frontends (including mvpmc) whenever a recording is about to start, and the mvpmc doesn't do anything with these messages. I believed that the backend would go ahead and start the scheduled recording if it got no response from the livetv frontend that's stolen the tuner, but your results would indicate otherwise. Someone would have to have a look at the MythTV frontend sourcecode to see how it handles these messages to be sure, and if necessary write code for the mvpmc to handle them similarly. I'm afraid I have a list of at least 4/5 things I'd like to do for the mvpmc before this and don't really have much time to make a start on those, but would be happy to answer questions/offer assistance to anyone writing a patch. What version of mythtv backend are you running? ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
