I can confirm that my wireless MVP (revision H3) works well on an 802.11g
wireless network with MythTV.
However, if your Myth backend is not wired to your main wireless router you
may need to play around a bit to ensure that video transfers don't end up
going over two wireless hops as that doesn't work very well.
It's also obviously dependent on other wireless usage in your immediate area,
although I was using mine fine in a block of flats with a number of other
visible networks (clearly most of them weren't attempting to stream video!).
