Your problem might be that your recordings are not ordinary stereo. The mvpmc box does not support video / audio synchronization unless the audio is ordinary stereo. For instance, if I record an OTA ATSC broadcast, I can not guarantee the video & audio will be in sync. Even if it is only 2 channel digital audio. (BTW Recordings made from OTA NTSC broadcasts work great on the mvpmc box.) If this is what is happening to you, the problem as been discussed here before. If I remember right, someone came up with the trancode command line to run your videos through to convert the audio. Have a search - if you find it, post it here again. I'll try to put it somewhere obvious in the wiki (it it's not already there!).
