Hello, thanks a lot for the replies and the ideas
Unfortunately I had already ruled out the wrong audio problem, at least I
think I have - the audio is mp3 (although I have also tried with mp2a) and
the video mp2. These are mpg2 files that have worked perfectly with the
MediaMVP and GB-PVR in the past, although now I want to move my machine to
Linux and wanted to try MVPMC, and all is perfect, apart from the
synchronisation.
>From mplayer
VIDEO: MPEG2 360x288 (aspect 2) 25.000 fps
Selected video codec: [mpeg12] vfm: libmpeg2 (MPEG-1 or 2 (libmpeg2))
AUDIO: 48000 Hz, 2 ch, s16le, 128.0 kbit/8.33% (ratio: 16000->192000)
Selected audio codec: [mp3] afm: mp3lib (mp3lib MPEG layer-2, layer-3)
I have tried the latest nightly build, and the problem is a lot better, the
synchronisation is much closer and sometimes actually in sync (sometimes I
have to come out and go back in again, and hit record a lot of times, and it
works. Sometimes it's impossible to get working without going out and going
back in again. Ocasionally, it just works!)
Any ideas?
Also, I wanted to try playing a video file that is continually growing, and
it doesn't seem to work. It's not a network or hard drive throughput
problem, but if the file I am trying to play is growing (e.g. a manual
transcode) it is unplayable with mvpmc, although it worked fine with GB-PVR
- any way to get this to work?
Thanks a lot
