Thanks to both Tom and Simon for your help and input!
When I try to start live tv I get this (AAA.YYY is the address of the MVP):
Starting new livetv
switch_hw_state(): changing from 1 to 2
Starting New Live TV!
MythTV event RECORDING_LIST_CHANGE
MythTV event LIVETV_CHAIN UPDATE live-192.168.AAA.YYY-2008-07-08T18:21:17
And nothing happens - I've left it like that for over an hour and it doesn't
start.
i guess I must be missing something in my config. I've tried to follow
advice from the wiki in setting it up, but I can't get the time settings to
work, so I may very well have missed something else as well. It looks like
this (AAA.XXX is the address of the Mythtv backend):
TZ='CET-1CEST,M3.5.0,M10.5.0/3'
export TZ
echo "TZ='CET-1CEST,M3.5.0,M10.5.0/3'" > /etc/shell.config
echo "export TZ" >> /etc/shell.config
NTP=pool.ntp.org
mvpmc -f /etc/helvR10.fnt -s 192.168.AAA.XXX -o composite -a 16:9 -T
mythconverg -c 192.168.AAA.XXX
My dhcp server is a standard Linksys router with no support for tftp or any
other fancy stuff, so I'm using mvprelay. If neccesary I can setup the
Mythtv server as dhcp server, but I would like to stick with the router if
possible.
What am I doing wrong?
