Live TV can be affected specifically if the time on the BE and FE (mvp in
this case) don't match up properly. You need to be absolutely sure that
both of them tie together, including any timezone offset.

Try telnetting to the box and running the "date" command on that and on
your backend at about the same time, and make sure they are both the same.

If they don't tally, you may need to look further into setting your TZ and
ntp setup.

Personally I use rdate to set it up, as per this FAQ entry:
