You know I don't think I've ever seen that menu either, and although I pretty much never use Live TV, I did go through the operations a few times and updated the wiki documentation for it. I also have a PVR-500. I vaguely recall not being able to find the menu, but I left the reference to it in the documentation, assuming it was just a limitation of my setup. Does a menu to select tuners appear for anyone? (Anyone with 2 or more tuners installed in their MythTV back-end.) On a side note, unless you're already accustomed to using the live TV functionality on a DVR, you might want to hold off on spending a lot of effort trying to get it to work. Most people find the performance (channel changing delay) of live TV on any home-brew DVR to be bad enough to discourage its use. That, plus the reduced desire to channel surf when you've got hundreds of gigs of known good shows to watch, makes live TV far less compelling. About the only live TV I watch is a few minutes of news in the morning, and for that I just turn off the MVP and use the TV's tuner. (I've taken to recording the 12 PM, 5 PM, 6 PM, and 11 PM news casts (with a custom MythTV rule that keeps only the latest broadcast), as the news is so full of junk that I find I can watch a 30 minute broadcast in about 10 minutes by skipping the useless junk and commercials. Sadly, TV news has really degraded in the last decade.) -Tom ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Mvpmc-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/mvpmc-users mvpmc wiki: http://mvpmc.wikispaces.com/
