Has anyone gotten the LiveTV on the mvpmc to work on a second tuner on any MythTV backend? If so, what tuner(s) are you using?
Has anyone seen the tuner selection menu referenced on the mvpmc LiveTV wiki page (http://mvpmc.wikispaces.com/Live+TV, last line of the Usage section and the second entry under FAQs)? >Tom Metro wrote: >You know I don't think I've ever seen that menu either, and although I >pretty much never use Live TV, I did go through the operations a few >times and updated the wiki documentation for it. Well, for cry'i', Tom, you're the one who added the lines in the wiki about the tuner selection menu (not yet a year ago, http://mvpmc.wikispaces.com/page/diff/Live+TV/13332681). Where did you get that information (that there is such a menu)? I'd love it if that menu were real/accessible, b/c I think it would solve this problem. 'Course, the superior solution would be for the mvpmc to just query the correct recorder (since it already knows what that is). >Tom Metro wrote: >On a side note, unless you're already accustomed to using the live TV >functionality on a DVR, you might want to hold off on spending a lot of >effort trying to get it to work. Yeah, but the wife and I both are sold on using LiveTV on the mvpmc if possible; she hates channel surfing, so she likes that the tuning delay reduces surfing urge.
