So are you actually using multiple wireless routers? > Tom Metro wrote: >> So to review, is this your setup? > > No, there are 2 setups... > Not working > > MVP -> DD-WRT (bridge) ->[WLAN] Router [Internal Lan includes dhcp server and > tftp server] OK, in this one the DD-WRT box is connecting to "Router" via a wireless link? Is the connection between the DD-WRT box and the MVP also wireless? If so, do you expect the performance of streamed media going to your MVP to be adequate if packets have to traverse multiple wireless links? If not, is the sole purpose of the WRT box to convert the MVP into a wireless device? >> maybe your best bet is to reinstall the stock firmware on the WRT and >> plug the DMZ into the LAN port of the WRT. I had assumed that you were using a wired connection between your "Router" and the WRT, with a wireless link to the MVP. In that case you do: MVP <- wireless -> [WLAN] WRT [LAN] <-> [DMZ] Router [LAN] ... and you leave the WAN port on the WRT unused. In this setup the WRT won't be NATing. The WRT can be configured to be a DHCP client and get its IP, etc. from "Router." But if you're actually trying to implement: MVP <-> [LAN] WRT [WLAN] <- wireless -> [WLAN] Router [LAN] ... then I see your problem, as I'm not sure the WRT (with stock firmware) will peer with another wireless router. The WLAN and LAN of the WRT are supposed to be just like ports on a switch, but of course the WLAN does have notions of whether it is acting like a client or an AP. Would using ad hoc mode work? -Tom ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Mvpmc-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/mvpmc-users mvpmc wiki: http://mvpmc.wikispaces.com/
