Follow-up Comment #5:

How does the vertical space usage work for you guys right now in current git
with the default UI settings? Since we've added a toolbar and banished the
conventional menu by default, the space over there on the left has Useful
Stuff at the top (specifically toggles for the tool windows).

The docked toolbar "titles" are now slightly smaller in master. I still think
it's helpful to have the icon and tool name though :)

Could we do more? Consider the floating tools right now and their dotted
line-and-arrow docker bar. What about one of those with a left-facing arrow
when docked in, performing an undock action if clicked? The symmetry would be
nice, but it's tricky to have that and keep the icon. Ideas welcome :)

If the separators, whatever they are, still do drags, I don't want to make
them less than about 10px high. Could we find a better way of reordering the
toolbar? Maybe the toggles should bubble docked tool-panels to the top of the
sidebar? Pretty ugh - I don't want anything too far away from the tools being
reordered.

(That's basically a call for brainstorming, which is probably better done on
the forums. Feel free to tell me to close this bug in favour of a forum
thread.)
