Here is the tip of my mountain after looking through all bugreports and my
personal list. I think the code is in good shape, I found nothing that
would really delay a release. As far as I am concerned, we could set a date
for the string freeze rather soon (minimum 1 week).

* Select some brush at first startup (./mypaint -c /tmp/blah).

* Brush collection is growing wildly.

I notice myself that the overwhelming choice can kill creativity, and I read
some user complaints about this, too. We certainly don't want to loose all
the diversity, but hide it a bit better. The minimum effort we should do is
probably just make Deevad's collection the default one, because it is very
compact and still has enough diversity. And the previews speak a very clear
language that new users will immediately understand (good for screenshots).

* Brushset import

Double-check that brushset import (much more important than export) works
very smoothly for all expected use-cases (does it work when upgrading a
user-maintained brushset? everyhing okay with unicode brush filenames?)

* Windows saving bugs

We should probably look through those very nasty bugs again:

bug #16278: [Windows] "A programming error..." when attempting to save
bug #15280: [Windows] Cannot save large files
bug #16106: [Windows] problem saving files
bug #16133: [Windows] Unable to open an OpenRaster file: "missing stack.xml"
bug #15419: [Windows] File dialog causes crash when a directory Downloads is
missing.

It looks like some pattern ;-) I hope they are all the same bug. The only
thing fixed for sure is the exception reporting, so far. This alone should
get us better bugreports next time.

* Remove the horrible simple/extended variants of brush editor

I blame myself for that. As it is now, it hurts more than it helps. Minimum
effort would be to revert it, but there is probably time to do better.

* bug #14875: ORA should not be the default file format

Did not make it for 0.8, is in the race again. Not must-have, though,
because we can now at least change the scrap format. Consensus seems to be
that we should default to ORA (or ask) as soon as the image has layers.

That's all from me for 0.9. Should we make a wiki page for the release
again? Anyone else has TODOs, planning to work on something?
