Hi all again,
excuse me if I'm writing about this another time :) ... but for me is very
difficult to explain the contours and implications of this feature... for
many people that is using MyPaint the infos about size brush are
sufficient... because the focuses of these artists are different of my
branch.

In my branch is very important to know the dimension in the unit which will
be printed... offset cases... inches and mm, normally, to banners and big
formats printed on inkjets or similar, cm, and some cases 'm'. When you
works to big formats printed on this way is possible works with very low
ppi, e.g. from 72 to 100 ppi.

I've discussed this question with some artists that is using MyPaint in
Brazil and is useful have this info. For example, to Revoy is useful in
px... but nowadays isn't possible, I think, because in MyPaint the unit is
within the logarithmic scale, right? Well to know the nominal size brush,
default radius size, is necessary to make a calculus.

Another important question, is that the size of a brush normally is
expressed in its diameter and is very difficult for a illustrator
traditional to have the radius as size brush. Ok, in the brush editor use
the radius as variable can be comprehensible... but in the info for me is
more clear and simple the diameter.

MyPaint can be used for many branches, video and printing... the main
reason for the printing branch is the infinite canvas.

I do not want to ask or discuss strange or absurd things only to explain
the question and the their contours for who uses MyPaint in the traditional
printing ;-)

Thanks,
americo
