Sir,
I have downloaded mysql from the net. I want to
install it on the linux machine . I followed all the
instructions given for installation in the binary
distribution form. But there is an error saying that
'unable to connect to socket /tmp/mysql.sock 'while
trying to check whether the server is running. please
inform about this tmp directory and about
mysql.sock,so that I can proceed further.
