I'm having trouble with the installation of MySQL. The database was installed on the "C" drive.
After installation, I performed the following tests to ensure that the database was properly installed: I execute the "mysqlshow" command and the names of the "test" and "mysql" databases were displayed. The errors at the bottom of this message were generated in Windows NT 4.0 (Service Pack 6) after just rebooting Windows three or four times. I never executed "mysqld". I read the documentation at the following URL: http://www.mysql.com/doc/C/o/Communication_errors.html. But it did not help. I would appreciate any help with this problem.
