I do the following;
1. I kill the mysqld-process on the server. 2. I start mysqld_safe by typing; "mysqld_safe --skip-grant-tables &" 3. Logged in as root, I type this shell> mysqladmin -u root flush-privileges password "my_wanted_password" 4. I try to login as root to the MySQL-server, by typing: shell> mysql -u root -p (then entering my password in the dialogue) - and I get the following error-message; "ERROR 1045: Access denied for user: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' (Using password: YES" Any remedy for this? Thanks.
