Hi Tim, Excuse me but still I don't understand exactly what is the product you want to build. One thing is a tool (IDE) to work and one thing is the product you build.
Some questions to understand: You ask for a tool name or a general question? What are exactly the "mysql editing features" ? What are your "my view templates" ? And again, are you building a client-server architecture application or a web based? Any interface as you surely know needs a logic and an engine that runs that logic. That logic could reside on a client application, on a browser(javascript et al), server(anything). I ask all this because your question is very vague and so the answer could be anything, Visual Basic, Jboss, Zend Studio, Adobe Flex just as an idea.
