Thanks for your help, it's not that mysql does not accept my password as
root, the problem is that I'm not allowed to access mysql as root (in fact
as any user) anymore, 'cause I deleted by mistake the entry corresponding to
root in the tables in the mysql database.Can I alter the tables without
connecting to mysql? I tried with mysql skip grant tables but it does not
work. Is there any chance I could gain control over it again?
